West Valley wins boys and girls 4A titles at Region 6 Meet

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The region championships were held over the weekend, we'll start our recap with the 4A results.
West Valley took the team title on both sides, winning the boys championship with 110 points and the girls with 103. ​
Justin Cummings starting things off right for the Wolfpack boys, winning the 100 meter dash. ​
Lathrop won the next two events winning the 200 meter with Griffen Roder and Freshman Ian Thomas won the 400 meter. ​
West Valley got back on the board thanks to Camron Herron, who swept the distance races, winning the 800, 1600, and 3200 meter events. ​
Lathrop's Kevin Johnson won the 110 meter hurdles while Colorado State Mesa commit Terrell Johnson won the 300 meter hurdles for West Valley. ​
Lathrop then swept the throwing events, winning the shot put with Corbin Tomaszewski while Jace Henry took the Discus. ​
Terrell Johnson won the High and Long jump for West Valley while Jhon Rones won the Triple Jump for Lathrop. ​
West Valley won all but one of the relays, with Lathrop picking up the other. ​
The 4A girl's events saw the Wolfpack win the vast majority of the races.​
Olivia Manley was victorious in the 100 meter, Kendall Lovell won the 200, Naomi Bailey took the 800 and reigning state champion Kendall Kramer won the 1600 and 3200 meter races. ​
The lone non-wolfpack victory in the 4A races was Lathrop's Laura Alvanna in the 400 meter. ​
West Valley also swept the hurdles thanks to Sheridan Blasey and won each of the relays. ​
Blasey also won the Discus to finish with three region championships. ​
Also taking home three titles was North Pole's Olivia Berg, who swept the High, Long, and Triple Jumps for the Patriots. ​
Maya Pelayo was able to earn another region title for Lathrop, winning the shot put. ​
