West Valley sweeps Region 6 Skiing Championships

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Before we get out of here, we have one last bit of weekend action to catch up on.
The Region Six skiing championships were held up on Birch Hill.
Friday saw individual mass start freestyle races.
The girls skied a 7.5 Kilometer trail where West Valley's Kendall Kramer was once again the top female skier.
Kramer finished in 21 minutes and 57 seconds, nearly two and a half minutes faster than the next racer.
Her teammate Victoria Bassette took second in 24 minutes and 11 seconds while Maggie Whitaker took third in 24 minutes and 25 seconds.
In the boy's race, West Valley took the top nine spots in their 10K.
They were led by Ari Endestad with a 26 minute 40 second time.
Eric DiFolco took second in 26 minutes and 52 seconds, and Jordan Laker-Morris took third in 27 minutes and 20 seconds.
And on Saturday the teams combined to compete in a 4x3 kilometer relay.
The Boys race was won by West Valley team B, consisting of Josh Baurick, Thomas Bueler, Eric Difolco, and Arie Endestad.
West Valley also won the girls race thanks to their team of Emma Jerome, Victoria Bassette, Maggie Whitaker, and Kendall Kramer.
The Wolfpack secured the Region six team titles for both the Boys and Girls, with Lathrop finishing as the runners-up in both categories.
