West Valley and Monroe Catholic earn lopsided victories

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The West Valley Wolfpack also put on a dominant display on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Kenai Kardinals 44-6.
Preston Damario led the way for the Wolfpack, finishing with 132 rushing yards.
Quarterback Maurice Maiden added 115 yards on the ground, and also completed 7 passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns.
Avery Weston caught one of those touchdowns, and earned another one on special teams.
The lone score for the Kardinals came on a one yard run in the first half.
The Wolfpack are now 4-1 overall, they will begin conference play this weekend when they travel to Palmer to take on the Moose.
The Monroe Catholic Rams were in action against the Valdez Buccaneers and returned home with a dominant 60-28 win under their belt.
Josh Gray led the Rams with 205 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Trae Puryear passed for five touchdowns, two to Josh Mandich, two to Jordan Higbee, and one to Darren Nicholson.
The Rams are now 3-2 overall this year and will host Nikiski on Friday night.
