West Valley advances to Gold Bracket in lady lynx shootout; Lathrop to play in Maroon Bracket

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - There is a massive girls Basketball Tournament taking place down in Anchorage involving a couple of our Interior Teams.
There are 16 teams competing in the Lady Lynx Tournament at Dimond High School.
Last night all the teams played eachother to see which Brackets they will play in for the rest of the weekend.
The West Valley Wolfpack earned their entry into the Gold Bracket with a 71-45 win over the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears.
Sierra Tate and Sheridan Blasey shared the scoring lead, both dropping 13 points.
Joining West Valley in the gold bracket will be Bartlett, ACS, Wasilla, Soldotna, West Anchorage, Chugiak, and Dimond.
The Wolfpack begin bracket play against Bartlett tonight.
The Lathrop Malemutes will be playing in the Maroon Bracket after falling in a 41-38 battle to the Chugiak Mustangs.
Joining Lathrop will be Kenai, Palmer, Ketchikan, South, Juneau, Thunder Mountain, and Colony.
The Malemutes will face Palmer in their opening game.
Bracket Play will run through the weekend, with the Championship games set for Saturday.
