West Valley Track standout Terrell Johnson signs with CSU-Pueblo

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - West Valley Track and Field Athlete Terrell Johnson signed his National Letter of Intent this afternoon to run for Colorado State Pueblo.
Johnson has set numerous PRs already this season, finishing the 300 meter hurdles in 40.85 seconds. ​
He also set his top records in both the High Jump and Long Jump clearing 6 feet 6 inches in the high and 22 feet, 3.5 inches in the long jump. ​
Last month he won four events in one meet, winning the 300 meter hurdles, High and Long jump. ​
He also was part of the first place 4x100 meter relay team. ​
Johnson will now join Colorado State Pueblo, an NCAA Division 2 Program.​
Johnson, who was joined by his family at the signing, including his Nana who came up from Arizona, talked about the importance of family, and how he feels moving up to the college level.
"My family has been #1 my whole life. They know what's best for me and want me to do what's best. They would never steer me wrong so I kind of trust them... I do trust them. I have a lot of weight off my shoulders. It was stressful but, it's supposed to be stressful for a little bit. But right now I think I'm set and happy," said Johnson.
