FAIRBANKS, Alaska - There were also three different softball matchups taking place last night, all starting at 5:30.
We'll start with the closest game of the night, which saw West Valley rally to defeat Lathrop.
The Malemutes held an 8-5 lead in the fourth inning but West Valley was able to score 4 runs in the bottom of that frame for the Walk-off win.
West Valley will now play North Pole tonight while both Lathrop and West Valley will be playing in a tournament down in the Mat-Su Valley this weekend.
Speaking of North Pole, they dominated Hutchison last night, defeating the Hawks 19-2.
Janice Dykes had a monster night for North Pole, bringing in six runners.
And for the third time in two days, the Monroe Catholic Rams defeated the Eielson Ravens, this time by a score of 10-1.
The Rams will now get a bit of a break and will be in action again this Friday against another Mid Alaska Conference Foe, the Hutchison Hawks.
