FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Another Football player signed his national letter of intent today to play at the next level.
West Valley's Merrick Stacy will be heading to Bethel University.
Stacy played several positions on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball for West Valley and was a team leader on the field.
Not even a torn ACL could keep Merrick off the field his senior year, making the shift from tight end to offensive line.
He will be focusing on the defensive side of the ball at the college level, and plans on playing Defensive end.
The Bethel Royals are a D-3 school in Minnesota who are members of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
We talked to Merrick after he signed about what he'll miss about West Valley as he moves up to the next level.
"I've been playing football here since, I've been playing with the same guys there's about eight of us together since we seven years old and it's always been a family and always had each other's back there's no tension and we'll give each other a hard time we were just a family," said Stacy.
