West Valley Boys take team title in State Skiing Championships

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The State Skiing Championships came to a close on Birch Hill on Saturday.
The event came to an end with the Mixed Technique Relays.
The Girls relay was won by West Anchorage, and consisted of Aubrey LeClaire, Quincy Donley, Annie Gonzoles, and Ivy Eski.
They finished with a total time of 36 minutes and 36 seconds.
Our top Interior team was West Valley, who took second with a total time of 36 minutes and 57 seconds.
Emma Jerome, Maggie Druckenmiller, Maggie Whitaker, and Kendall Kramer were the members of that runner-up Wolfpack team.
Kramer, who earned the title of Skimeister after the individual races, had the fastest lap time of all competitors, finishing her leg in 7 minutes and 33 seconds.
In the boy's 4x5 kilometer relay, West Valley took first with a total time of 59 minutes flat.
Sam Delamere, Dave Baurick, Jordan Laker-Morris, and Eric DiFolco were the members of that winning team.
West Valley then took first in the team rankings to be crowned state champions thanks to the combined times from all three days.
