West Valley Boys Soccer team continues unbeaten season

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - We still have a few games from different spring sports this weekend to catch up on.
The West Valley boys Soccer team continued their undefeated season with a victory in the Mat-Su Valley, defeating Colony 1-0. ​
West Valley scored early on, finding the back of the net on a corner kick from Seth Thomas that was knocked in by a header from Chris Elbell. ​
The rest of the game was a defensive battle which saw both teams hold the other side scoreless. ​
Goaltender Kristaps Bareika secured his eight shutout of the season in the win. ​
The Wolfpack improved to 13-0-1 overall and 7-0-1 in conference play with this win. ​
They then moved up to 14-0-1 overall last night with a 9-1 win over the Monroe Catholic Rams. ​
The Wolfpack girls were on the wrong side of a 5-1 loss to Colony on Saturday. ​
Aubrey Stacy secured the lone goal for the Wolfpack. ​
And in Softball action here in the Interior, Delta Junction was in town for a double header. ​
They earned a sweep by defeating Eielson 23-3 and then sealed the deal with a 20-5 win over the Monroe Catholic Rams.​
Journey Williams finished with 2 RBIs for the Huskies while Megan Hancock, Emily Bevard, and Keeley Harris all hit inside the Park Homers in that closing game.
