West Anchorage Hockey Player suspended for physical contact with multiple officials

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Division 1 State hockey championships began down in Wasilla last night.
However, the focus quickly shifted to one West Anchorage player who was suspended after making contact with two officials.
An outburst from Senior forward Sawyer Courrier led to him shoving and elbowing officials when they attempted to stop him from going after a player from the opposing Dimond Lynx.
Three referees were finally able to wrestle him down to the ice and disqualify him for the rest of the game.
That ejection means an automatic disqualification for their consolation game, and ASAA also suspended him for the third game if they make it that far.
ASAA could also fine the school if they choose to.
Referee Stan George was not injured, and the remaining members of West Anchorage will play Colony in consolation play tonight.
