UAF Womens Basketball team drops 16th game in a row

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The losing Skid for the UAF Women's team continued last night when they suffered a loss down in Ellensburg Washington to the Central Washington Wildcats.
The Wildcats won 84-74.
The Wildcats only held a 24-21 lead after the first quarter, but ouscored the Nanooks in the next two quarters to help secure the victory.
Despite the loss, Nanook Sophomore Kylie Wallace was able to shine.
She earned a career high 29 points for the Nanooks.
Three other Nanook Women were able to break Double-digits as Lexi Carpenter earned 15, Josie Sewell scored 12 and Emily Evans dropped 11.
Evans also led the team in assists with 4 while Sewell was able to earn a Double-Double with 10 rebounds.
That is loss number 16 in a row for the Lady Nooks, who are now 4-21 on the year and 0-19 in GNAC play.
They will have one final shot to win a conference game when they face Northwest Nazarene tomorrow in Nampa Idaho.
