FAIRBANKS, Alaska - More University of Alaska Fairbanks sports schedules are being released, as UAF announced last week that it will play out all of its sports for the upcoming year.
The slate rolled out Friday was the 2019-2020 Rifle schedule.
The 10-time national champions will open their season at home, when they host the University of Texas El Paso on September 28th for a two-day meet.
The Nooks will then host two schools in October, for a big weekend of Patriot Rifle Conference action. The weekend of the 11th, Ohio State and defending national champions, the Texas Christian Horned Frogs will come to town for UAF's final home matches of the season.
For a weekend slate of meets in November, the Nanooks will travel to El Paso to face UTEP again on the 22nd, before taking on Air Force the 24th.
In 2020, the Nanooks will compete in two matches at Ohio State, January 11th and 12. UAF will then will partake in the Palmyra Invitational in Annville, Pennsylvania on the 19th.
Their final conference matchup will come Febuary 21st, when they face Air Force again.
The Patriot Rifle Conference tournament will be February 8th and 9th in Fort Worth, Texas, while the NCAA Rifle Championships will take place the weekend of March 13th in Lexington, Kentucky.
UAF finished eighth in the nation last year, and most recently won the national championship in 2008. They have the second most national titles in NCAA history, behind West Virgina University.
