Ryan Redington wins Kobuk 440

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Kobuk 440 came to an end over the weekend, and this year's winner was competing in the race for the first time.
Ryan Redington was the winner of the last major race of the year. ​
Redington crossed the finish line in Kotzebue after 40 hours and 4 minutes on the trail. ​
He outpaced the second place finisher and former race champion Nicolas Petit by 14 minutes. ​
Tony Browning took third in this year's race while Jessie Holmes finished fourth. ​
The fifth place spot went to Cim Smyth, who rallied to finish in the top 5. ​
The Red Lantern for this year's race went to Hunter Keefe.
