Fairbanks, AK The NCAA Women's Basketball tournament continued last night, and Fairbanks' own Ruthy Hebard was able to lead the Oregon Ducks to another appearance in the Elite 8.

The Ducks advanced with a 63-53 win over the South Dakota State Jackrabbits.
This one was never really in doubt as Oregon outscored SDSU in the first three quarters, and then held them at arms length in the fourth to secure the win.
Ruthy Hebard had a monster night for Oregon, leading in both points and rebounds.
She dropped 24 points and pulled down 14 boards to earn a double-double while helping the Ducks advance.
Next up for the Oregon Women will be Mississippi State in the Elite 8 on Sunday night.
These two teams played earlier this year, where Oregon defeated the Bulldogs 82-74 back in December.
This is the second consecutive year the Ducks have gotten to the Elite Eight, a milestone that they hit for the first time last year.
