President of Iditarod Board of Directors steps down

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Iditarod Board of Directors released a statement earlier today that they have elected new executive committee members.
These changes will include Andy Baker stepping down as president.
Baker has served on the Iditarod Trail Committee board of Directors for 8 years and has been the board president for seven.
Controversy surrounded Baker after last year's Iditarod when several mushers demanded he resign after a rough year for the race, which included their first Dog-doping scandal.
Baker said the reason for his departure is not due to the controversy, but because he feels like the race is in a good enough place for the transition to occur.
Anchorage attorney Mike Mills will serve as the new Iditarod Board President.
