North Pole defeats Hutchison Volleyball in endowment contest

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Hutchison and North Pole Volleyball teams faced off in an endowment contest last night at North Pole High School.
This one went to five sets, but the Patriots were able to come out on top.
Hutch won the first set 25-23, but the Pats were able to rebound and win the next two sets 25-8 and 25-15.
Hutchison forced a fifth set with a 26-24 win in the fourth but North Pole was finally able to put them away with a 15-9 win in the finale.
Sidney Teel led the Patriots with 13 kills while Laura Donovan earned 8 digs and Ainsley Smith passes out 27 assists.
Hutch was led by Alyssa GoForth and her five kills while Allyonna Mandregan earned 6 blocks and Bri Majors finished the day with 36 digs.
Since this was an endowment game, the score won't affect either team's record.
Hutchison will now prepare to host Houston on Friday night while North Pole will be heading down to Valdez for tournament action over the weekend along with the Eielson Ravens.
