FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Out at North Pole High School, the Patriots Basketball teams hosted Effie Kokrine in a non-conference double header.
The two teams split this twin bill, which started with the North Pole girls winning 49-40.
Megan Grant led the Patriots with 15 points while Claire Richmond dropped 12.
Ashley Luke led the Warriors with 17 points.
The boys game followed soon after, and that was a different story entirely.
Effie Kokrine won that one 61-36.
Three different players added double-digit points for the Warriors, including 15 point nights from Steven Woods and Donovan McTaggart, and 14 from Derek Joseph.
The Pats were led by Alex Garcia and his 15 point night.
Inside city limits, the Hutchison Hawks defeated Nenana 92-41 in an endowment game.
Deion Frank led the Hawks with 23 points.
Since this was an endowment contest, the result won't count towards either team's record.
