Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks hosts first town race series of the year

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks held the first Town-race series of the year up on Birch Hill on Saturday.
In the High School Girls race, Kendall Kramer won the 4K in 11 minutes and 23 seconds.
Annika Hanestad from Colony was able to take second with a 12 minute 31 second time while Maggie Druckenmiller took third in 12 minutes and 53 seconds.
Kate Baring, Sage Robine, Kristen Rozell, and Donna DiFolco all won their respective classes.
In the High School Boys race, West Valley swept the top three spots.
Ari Endestad took first with a 22 minute 20 second time in the 8k race.
Justice Bassette finished 40 seconds later to take second while Rhys Yates took third with a time of 23 minutes and 24 seconds.
Patrick Marbacher won the Junior Men's class while Seiji Takagi, Peter Delamere, David Knopp, Chris Puchner, and Owen Hanley won their respective classes.
