Nook volleyball players named to GNAC All-academic team

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - While the Nanooks have recieved recognition for their efforts on the court, several members of the Volleyball team were just named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference's All-Academic team, for their efforts in the classroom.
Sophomore Setter Cate Whiting led the way, earning a 3.97 GPA through the season.
That is the highest GPA of any player named to the All-Academic team, from any GNAC squad.
Lahra Weber was one step behind her with a 3.96 GPA, while Sarina Mancari has a 3.47, Emily Moorhead has a 3.41, and Markie Miller earned a spot with a 3.20.
To be selected to the all-academic team, players had to be at least sophomores in their second year with the program, and have a 3.2 GPA or higher.
