Nanook women fall in Anchorage

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanook Women's Basketball team was in action down south against their lone in-state rivals, the UAA Seawolves.
The 14th ranked Seawolves were victorious, defeating the Nooks 81-70.
Hannah Wandersee led UAA in scoring, finishing with 19 points, shooting 7 of 13 from the field and a perfect 3 for 3 from behind the three point line.
Tennaw Voliva led the Seawolves in rebounds with 7.
The Nooks were led by Angela Murnion and her 18 point night, while they also earned double-digits from Kylie Wallace and Emily Evans, both finishing with 12.
Ashlie Blackburn pulled down 5 rebounds to lead the Nanooks in that category while Kaylyn Kelly was the assist leader, distributing 5.
The Nanooks will now return to the Golden Heart City for a game on Saturday against Montana State Billings at the Patty Center at 3pm.
