Nanook swimmers wrap up PCSC Championship stay

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - We have one last bit of weekend action to catch up on as the Nanook swim team wrapped up their conference championships.
The final day of competition saw four Nanooks compete in the 100-yard freestyle finals, and two of them posted top-10 finishes.
Sophomore Odo Bygdnes took sixth overall with a time of 52.93 seconds, and redshirt freshman Kaia Borbye took eighth in 59.35 seconds.
Freshman swimmer Camille Dayton made a name for herself in her first PCSC championship appearance, taking third place in the 1,650 yard freestyle with a 17 minute, 47 second time.
The two other top ten finishes individually for day three belonged to senior Sierra Kinworthy, who took seventh overall in the mile race with a 17 minute 57 second time, and Erika Kakazu took tenth in the 200 yard backstroke.
As a team, the Nanook Swimmers took seventh overall with 669 points.
