Nanook Volleyball team defeats Western Oregon on the road

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanook Volleyball team was able to get back to their winning ways on Saturday with a road victory over the Western Oregon Wolves.
They defeated the Wolves 3 sets to 1.
The Nanooks were able to rally after a 25-19 loss in the first set and secure the victory with wins in the next three.
They won the second 25-18, the third 25-20, and the fourth 25-16.
Lahra Weber and Markie Miller led the Nanook offense, finishing with 17 and 14 kills respectively, while Cate Whiting dished out 45 assists.
Defensively, the Nanooks got 16 digs from Tatum Upchurch while Kim Wong earned 7 blocks.
The Nooks are now 11-12 overall and 9-7 in conference play.
They will be competing in their final home series of the year this week when they host Saint Martin's on Thursday and Seattle Pacific on Saturday.
Both games will be in the Patty Center and are set for a 7pm start.
