Nanook Volleyball players earn All-GNAC honors

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Now that the regular season is over, the Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced their All-Conference Volleyball Team and three Nanooks were able to earn some recognition.
Lahra Weber and Cate Whiting were named to the All-GNAC first team while Kim Wong earned an Honorable Mention.
Weber finished the year leading the Nanooks in kills, earning 357 throughout the season, averaging 3.6 kills per set.
Setter Cate Whiting had a monster sophomore year, finishing with 987 assists and 228 digs.
She finished four different games with 50 or more assists this year.
Wong earned her second consecutive honorable mention after leading the Nanooks in blocks, earning 101 throughout the year.
These three helped guide the Nanooks to a 14-13 overall record this year, their first winning season since 2008.
