Nanook Swimmer Oda Bygdness earns honorable mention at National Championships

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The lone representative for the Nanook Swim team finished up her stay at the national championships in Indianapolis.
Oda Bygdness competed in the 100 yard butterfly.
She finished 13th overall in the finals with a time of 54.81 seconds.
The sophomore from Harstad Norway was only 2 seconds behind the national champion in that event.
Queens University's Polina Lapshina finished in 52.48 seconds to win and set a new Division 2 meet record.
Bygdness, who is the only Nanook to advance to Nationals in the past two seasons, earned an honorable mention spot in the All-American teams
She was also only 3 hundredths of a second away from setting a new school record.
