Nanook Swim team splits matchup against Asuza Pacific

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Our Alaska Nanook Swim team was in action over the weekend, hosting the Azusa Pacific Cougars.
Friday night saw the Nooks defeat Asuza 108-95, winning six out of the eleven events.
They won the first event of the night, the 400 yard medley relay, with a 3:58 time.
Cassidy Heaton was victorious in both of her events, winning the 1,000 and 500 yard freestyle races.
The 50 yard freestyle was won by Nanook Sophomore Kaia Norbye, while Oda Bygdnes won the 100 yard butterfly an Erika Kakazu won the 100 yard backstroke.
On Saturday Asuza Pacific secured the split with a 108-95 victory.
The Nooks won the 200 yard Medley Relay and got individual wins from Camille Dayton in the 1,650 yard freestyle, Norbye in the 50 yard free, Rachel Beal in the 400 yard IM, Kakazu in the 200 yard backstroke, and Heaton in the 500 yard free.
The Nanooks will now get a bit of a break before returning to the Patty Center Pool.
They will host Biola University on November 16th and the 17th.
That first matchup is scheduled for 6pm and the second for 12pm.
