Nanook Skiers wrap up season with National Championship Stay

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanook Ski team wrapped up their season down in Vermont for the NCAA Championships.
The opening day of the skiing saw the Nooks take 11th place overall thanks to 27 points from the Women's Competitors and 5 from the Men.
The top Nanook Skier in day one was Anja Maijala, who finished the 5K freestyle race in 14 minutes and 8 seconds to take sixteenth place.
The top male finisher was Seiji Takagi, who took 26th in the 10K, finishing in 25 minutes and 37 seconds.
In today's Classic races, the top Nanook finishers were Kati Roivas for the women's 15k, who took 16th in 49 minutes 25 seconds.
Takagi was once again the top men's finisher, taking 21st place in the 20K race in 58 minutes and 4 seconds.
