Nanook Men's Basketball team falls to UAA in rivalry matchup

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanook Men's Basketball team traveled down to Anchorage for their penultimate game of the season against the UAA Seawolves.
UAA won this rivalry matchup with a 100-86 effort. ​
This game was evenly matched for the first half with the Seawolves holding a 43-42 lead after the first 20 minutes. ​
However, they opened up the scoring in the second half, outscoring the Nooks 57-44. ​
Tyler Brimhall led UAA in scoring with 33 points while Tre Eisenhut led the Nooks with 19. ​
Jaqua Morrow also dropped 18 for the Nanooks while defending GNAC player of the week Michael Kluting led the team in rebounds with 5. ​
The loss will bring the Nanooks down to 5-21 overall this year and 2-17 in conference play. ​
The Seawolves improve to 14-13 overall and 9-10 in the conference. ​
The Nanooks will hold their season finale on Saturday when they host former coach Mick Durham and the Montana State Billings Yellowjackets at the Patty Center.
