Nanook Hockey suffers home sweep against Northern Michigan

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanook hockey team finished up their first WCHA series of the year on Saturday against the Northern Michigan Wildcats.
The Nooks suffered a weekend sweep after the Wildcats took Saturday's game 4-2.

The nooks were the first team to light the lamp in the second period.
Unfortunately, the wheels fell off in the third period where Philip Beaulieu put the team on his back.
Beaulieu scored three powerplay goals within three minutes of each other in the third period to give NMU the lead for good.
The pair of losses bring the Nooks down to 4-14-2 overall and 4-9-1-1 overall.
Despite the sweep, the Nanooks still hold 7th place in the WCHA with 14 points.
They will be in another conference series in Minnesota this weekend against the sixth place Bemidji State Beavers.
