FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Nanooks will start the year by hosting a Frozen Four team.
They will host the Denver Pioneers on October 5th and the 6th.
This will serve as a homecoming for two Denver Coaches who are former Nanooks.
Tavis MacMillan and Dallas Ferguson both played for and coached the Nanooks and will return to the Carlson Center to start the year.
The first Conference Opponent for the Nanooks will be the following week when they travel to the U-P to play Michigan Tech on October 18th and 19th.
They'll then head to Penn State for the next series before starting the Governor's Cup against UAA in Anchorage on the 25th and 26th of October and will return home against the Bemidji State Beavers in the beginning of November.
Their final Non-Conference series of the year will be against Arizona State on November 8th and 9th.
The Nooks will be finishing the regular season at home against UAA on February 28th and 29th.
The team will be looking to improve on an impressive first season under head coach Erik Largen where they finished as the seventh seed and earned a berth in the WCHA Playoffs.
