Monroe Volleyball moves to 3-0 in Conference play

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Monroe Catholic and Hutchison Volleyball teams were in action last night in an Aurora Conference Contest.
Monroe was able to earn the victory in this one, winning in 4 sets.
The Rams won the first two sets, taking the first 25-21 and the second 25-20.
Hutchison was able to rally and earn a victory in the third set, winning that one 27-25.
Monroe then dominated the fourth set to secure the win with a 25-13 effort.
Chloe Maynard was the kill leader yet again for Monroe, finishing the day with 18.
Abigail Allen and Pamela Noll both passed out 15 assists to lead the team in that category while Marian Nelson finished the day with 20 digs.
Raven Drake earned 31 digs for Hutchison while Jayda Russel earned 9 kills.
The Rams are now 7-2 in regular season play this year, with their only losses being to West Valley and Mt. Edgecumbe.
They are 3-0 in conference play.
The Hawks now fall to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
Monroe will now journey out west to play Nome and Kotzebue on Friday and Saturday.
Hutchison will make the short trip to West Valley tomorrow night.
