Monroe Soccer continues undefeated start with win over Hutch

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - High School Soccer highlighted the sports action in the Interior last night.
The Monroe Catholic Rams continued their undefeated start to the season with a 10-1 win over the Hutchison Hawks. ​
Monroe got hat-tricks from two different players to lead the way in scoring. ​
Nathan Walsh and Landon Nicholson both finished with three goals to share the scoring lead while Austin Clarkson was right behind them, registering two goals. ​
Izak Lohrke and Isaac Garcia then sealed the deal with one goal each. ​
Seth Waln scored the lone goal of the night for Hutchison. ​
The Rams are now 3-0 this season and hold the top spot in the Mid Alaska Conference. ​
Also on the FYSA Turf Fields last night, North Pole hosted the Wasilla Warriors in a non-conference double-header. ​
Wasilla earned a sweep in this one starting with a 6-0 win in the girls game, before defeating the North Pole boys 2-1. ​
The lone Patriot goal was scored by Justin Howard. ​
Next up for the Patriots, they'll be playing Hutchison tomorrow on the turf fields.
