FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Two of our High School Volleyball teams were in action away from home last night.
The Monroe Catholic Rams were able to sweep the Kotzebue Huskies in a non-conference contest.
The Rams performed better and better as the game went on, winning the first set 25-19, the second 25-10, and the third 25-9.
Chloe Maynard led Monroe with 15 kills while Marian Nelson finished the day with 25 digs.
Pamela Noll and Tia Campanelli shared the lead in assists, both finishing with 10.
The Rams are now 12-4 overall and will now be in tournament action at Grace Christian School.
The Lady Grizzly Tournament will see the Rams compete alongside the host school, as well as Anchorage Christian School, Homer, Sitka, Nikiski, Soldotna and Wasilla.
We'll have updates from that one as the tournament rolls on.
In 4A Volleyball Action the North Pole Patriots fell to the Palmer Moose last night.
Palmer was able to win this one in four sets.
They kicked the game off with a 25-12 win in the first set, but North Pole was able to fire back for a 25-23 win in the second.
