Monroe Catholic and North Pole Basketball teams wrap up regular seasons

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - On Saturday the Monroe Catholic Rams ended their regular seasons with wins against Delta Junction.
In the girl's game, Monroe dominated on their way to a 37-13 victory over the Huskies.
They secured the win by holding Delta completely scoreless in the third quarter.
Madi Leslie led the Rams in scoring with 12 points while Grace Hodges dropped 11.
Andrea Solla led the Huskies with 5.
In the boys game Monroe secured the sweep with a 59-42 win. Gabe Silas led the Monroe Boys with 18 points while Delta was led by 10 points Drenan McGee.
Both of these schools will now prepare for the Aurora Conference Championship Tournament, which we'll have more on in just a little bit.
The North Pole Patriots were also in action over the weekend.
They were on the road against the Nome-Beltz Nanooks, splitting the non-conference matchup in the process.
The North Pole Girls were victorious 58-56.
Laura Donovan led the Patriots with 17 points while Evelyn Rochon and Kastyn Lio also added 17 points for Nome.
That 58 point total marks a Season high for the North Pole Girls.
And in the boy's game, Nome was victorious 74-52. Caden Hanebuth led the Nanooks with 22 points while Alex Garcia finished with 15 for North Pole.
Next up for the Patriots will be the Mid Alaska Conference Championship Tournament this Friday.
