Monroe Catholic and Hutchison Baseball teams earn MAC wins

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - In Friday Night baseball action, The Monroe Catholic Rams dominated a Mid Alaska Conference Contest against the Lathrop Malemutes, winning 14-4.
Monroe held a slim 6-4 lead after the first two innings, but held the Malemutes scoreless for the next three to secure the win. ​
Jake Footit led the offensive efforts, going a perfect 2 for 2 at bat with 2 RBIs and 2 scores. ​
Footit was also credited the win on the mound, striking out two batters in as many innings. ​
Pearson Clark also had two innings pitching, where he struck out 3 batters and didn't allow a hit. ​
And across town, the Hutchison Hawks defeated Eielson 9-3. ​
Hutch only led by one run heading into the sixth inning, but were able to hang up five runs to secure the win. ​
Ryan Young and Josh "Action" Bronson both finished with two RBIs for the Hawks. ​
Bronson also pitched all seven innings, striking out 16 and only allowing three hits. ​
Our Mid Alaska Conference teams will now prepare for their Conference Championship tournament next week.
