FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Our Women's team fell to the Central Washington Wildcats in their GNAC Contest on Saturday night.
The Wildcats were able to escape the Patty Center with an 81-72 win.
The Cats got out to a 14-6 lead in the first quarter that, despite a solid effort by the Nanooks, they wouldn't let go of for the rest of the game.
The Nooks did shoot better from behind the arc and pulled down more rebounds than the Wildcats, but they also committed 16 Turnovers.
Lexi Carpenter had the best game of her college career for the Nooks, she earned herself an incredible 32 points while shooting 66% from the field.
No other player on the Nanooks earned double-digit points in that game.
Carpenter's amazing performance marked the most points, Field Goals made, and three pointers made by any player this season.
Brittany Richards did lead the team in rebounds with 6.
Angela Murnion and Emily Evans both dished out three assists to lead the team in that category.
The Lady Nooks will be in action again on Saturday night when they host the undefeated UAA Seawolves.
