Lathrop and West Valley Baseball teams earn Conference wins

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Four Interior Baseball teams were in action last night.
We'll start with a matchup between the Lathrop Malemutes and Hutchison Hawks. ​
The Malemutes were victorious in this Mid Alaska Conference Contest, defeating the Hawks 9-4. ​
Lathrop jumped out to a 7-3 lead after the first three innings to help secure the win. ​
The 'Mutes were led by a monster night at the plate by Chase Reed, who went a perfect 4 for 4 batting with four RBIs and a score. ​
Nick Sutton crossed home plate twice to lead the team in that category. ​
Nate Kisgen earned the most strikeouts for the Malemutes, earning four in 4 innings while Hunter Merideth struck out two in 3 innings of work. ​
For Hutchison, Kyle Banning led the offense, going 2 for 3 with an RBI. ​
The West Valley Wolfpack were also in action last night, hosting the Delta Huskies. ​
The Wolfpack dominated for a 13-5 win. ​
The Conwell Cannon fired off to lead West Valley in scoring. ​
Shaun Conwell went 3 for 4 at the plate with a run and 5 RBIs. ​
Andrew Troppman also had a good day, going 2 for 4 at bat with 3 RBIs and 2 scores. ​
Grayden "Country" Lesneski earned the win pitching, earning 10 strikeouts and only allowing six hits while throwing for all seven innings.
