FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Another athlete signed her Letter of Intent at Lathrop this evening.
Malemutes Softball player Kaylee Stier will be playing for Bluffton University in the fall.
Stier began her fastpitch softball career with the Malemutes, and credits the coaches with helping her find her footing in the sport she will now be playing in college.
The Bluffton Beavers are a division three program who compete in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
The school is in Bluffton Ohio which was another big factor in the decision to play there.
"Bluffton is right in the middle of all the family I don't get to see because I'm military, so I'm always so far away. And I'm actually going to school with my cousin as well. So she is going to be my roommate, I get to play softball and I get to be around family. It's amazing because everyone here is someone I've dealt with the last three years and we've actually become family. I love everyone here, they're amazing," said Stier.
