Lathrop Malemutes defeat North Pole in MAC Volleyball game

Fairbanks, Alaska The Lathrop Malemutes hosted the North Pole Patriots for their first Mid Alaska Conference game of the year.
The Malemutes were victorious in this one, taking home a 3-1 win.

Lathrop won the first set 25-15, but North Pole was able to respond with a 25-18 victory in the second.
The Malemutes were then able to secure back-to-back sets, earning the win in the process.
They took the third 25-16, and the fourth 26-24.
The Malemutes were led by Aubrey Reed, who finished the day with 12 kills.
Maya Pelayo dished out 15 assists and Harmony Lappui earned 7 blocks.
The Pats were led by Sidney Teel, who earned 13 kills.
Ainsley Smith finished the day with 18 assists and Olivia Berg contributed 12 digs.
Both of these teams will be in action again this week.
North Pole hosts Hutchison in an endowment game tonight, while the Malemutes travel to Boileau Hall to face the Monroe Catholic Rams on Thursday.
