FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Another football player signed his National Letter of Intent today.
Lathrop's Chase Brown will be heading to Lewis-Clark State College.
Brown was an integral part of the offensive and defensive lines for the Malemutes, playing tackle on both sides for the Railbelt Conference Champions.
The 6'4" 350 pound lineman will now be heading to Lewis and Clark state, a Division 3 team located in Lewiston Idaho.
Brown will have the unique opportunity of continuing to play both sides of the ball for the Loggers, something pretty rare at the College Level.
We talked to Brown after he signed about the challenges he expects to face, and why he chose this school to continue his career.
"Playing against a lot of seniors and bigger guys that might be faster, and I'm going to have to get better and stronger at that, faster mostly. so yeah get faster, stronger over the summer and we'll see where it will go. The reason I picked Lewis-Clark is that it would help me out with the advatage of it's a small school. It kind of reminds me of Lathrop... More students mostly, but the size compared to Lathrop would help me so much. It would help me a lot," said Brown.
