Lady Nooks Volleyball has second consecutive home game win for first time since 2004

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The lady Nooks performed extremely well today against the Concordia Cavaliers, almost forcing their fans to stand up and cheer through the course of the whole match.
3-0 was the final score, bringing our Nanooks 5-10 overall and 3-5 against opponents in GNAC play.
Our Nooks served out perfect 25 point sets against the Cavalier's 16, 20 and 22.
UAF's own Lahra Weber led her team with the most kills, serving 15. Makena Overbey served 3 aces. Kim Wong made 5 stunning blocks. Cate Whiting served her team with 34 assists, and Overbey made 15 digs over the course of the game.
By the end the Nanooks achieved a total score of 55 to Concordia's 40 and 39 kills to their 29, making this the first second home-game in a row the Nooks volleyball team has won since 2004.
Fairbank's own will face Seattle Pacific this Thursday and if they put in the same effort and power they put in today they'll be one more game away to evening-out their record this season.
