FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Day two of the State Skiing Championships at Birch Hill saw similar results as day one, with the same two skiers continuing to stake their claim at the title of Skimeister.
In the girls 7.5 kilometer freestyle mass start, West Valley's Kendall Kramer won with a 23 minute 37 second time.
48 seconds then passed before the second place skier, Service's Garvee Tobin, crossed the finish line.
West Anchorage's Ivy Eski then rounded out the top three for the girl's race.
Anchorage skiers dominated the boy's 10k freestyle, with South's Zanden McMullen winning for the second consecutive day, finishing in 25 minutes and 56 seconds.
He outpaced the next two racers by nearly a minute as West Anchorage's Everett Cason and Chugiak's Michael Earnhart took second and third.
Those two were separated by less than a second. The State Skiing Championships will come to a close today, and we'll have the final standings for you next week.
