Kendall Kramer Wins State in girls 7.5K, guides West Valley to Runner-Up finish

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The State Skiing championships went on through the weekend on Birch Hill.
Friday saw the boys 10 kilometer Mass Start and the Girls 7 and a half k Mass start Classic races.
For the Boys, Service's Gus Shumacher won his second race in a row, finishing the event in 29 minutes and 23 seconds.
West Anchorage's Luke Jager took second place just 5 seconds later while West Valley's Ti Donaldson took third in 30 minutes and 5 seconds.
The Girl's Mass Start saw West Valley's Kendall Kramer take first place, finishing with a 26 minute 52 second time.
She was a full minute and 10 seconds in front of the Runner up, Heidi Booher from Chugiak.
The final day saw the 4x3K mixed technique relay for the girls and the 4x5k relay for the boys.
In the Girls relay, West Anchorage came out on top with a 38 minute total time.
West Valley took second 2 minutes later and Service took third.
West Valley also took the runner-up spot in the Boys race while service took the title and West Anchorage placed third.
In the overall team standings, West Anchorage won the team title on the Girls Side while West Valley, along with their individual State Champ Kendall Kramer, took the runner-up spot.
The Wolfpack took third on the boys side while West Anchorage took first and Service Finished second.
