FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The State Championship Tennis Tournament was held in Anchorage over the Weekend, and several interior athletes were competing.
The highest finisher was Lathrop's Luke Millam, who advanced to the third place game in the Boys Singles Bracket.
He defeated West Anchorage's Ethan Pickett in the opening round before falling to Pickett's teammate Robbie Sedwick in the semi-finals.
Millam's tournament stay came to an end in the third place game against Kodiak's Fisher Gandel.
His teammate Riley Knott made it to the fourth place contest before falling to Chugiak's Riley Fugere.
In the Girl's Singles bracket, Erin Hendricks from Monroe Catholic made it to the fourth place game.
The rest of our interior tennis players or teams fell short of a fourth place game appearance.
