Interior Volleyball teams compete in weekend tournaments

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A few of our interior volleyball teams were competing in tournament action down south over the weekend.
The West Valley Wolfpack were in Anchorage for the West Anchorage Spike-Tacular.
The Pool Play rounds saw the pack go 3-5.
They then fell in their opening bracket matchup against Wasilla two sets to none.
They were able to take Juneau-Douglas to three sets before falling in the consolation bracket, finishing the Spike-tacular in a tie for 13th place.
They will return home on Thursday when they host Hutchison.
Three more of our Interior Teams, Delta Junction, Eielson, and North Pole, were in a tournament in Valdez.
North Pole took second place in the gold bracket, falling to Valdez in the title game.
Sydney Teel, Kylie Erickson, and Ainsley Smith were representatives on the Gold All-Tournament team for the Patriots.
In the Silver Bracket, which was won by Bethel, Keeley Harris and Anita Kravets were named to the All-Tournament team for Delta, and Shannon Holan and Karla Villanueva were honored for Eielson.
