FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Interior hosted it's first full-fledged track meet of the year this weekend at Lathrop High School.
We'll start off with the results from the Boy's events, which saw twelve winners come from West Valley.
Justin Cummings was victorious in the 100 meter dash, winning in 11.58 seconds.
Camron Herron won the 800, 1600, and 3200 meter races for the Wolfpack while Terrell Johnson won the 300 meter hurdles, the long jump, and the high jump.
West Valley then won three out of the four relays, taking the 4x100 meter, 4x400, and 4x800 meter relays.
Merrick Stacy then won both throwing events for the Wolfpack, winning the shot put and the discus.
The Eielson Ravens won the second most events for the boys, winning 4x200 meter relay.
They also took the 400 meter race thanks to Aric Styles and the 110 meter hurdles through Toby Tristan.
Jhon Rones won the Triple Jump for the Lathrop Malemutes, while the Monroe Catholic Rams saw their top finish from Nathan Walsh in the 200 meter dash.
Now it's time to pause for a second so I can breath before we dive into the Girl's results from the Region 6 meet.
West Valley once again took the most events.
Emma Axelsson won the 800 meter race, while Naomi Bailey took the 1600, and Kendall Kramer won the 3200.
Sheridan Blasey swept the hurdles, winning both the 100 and 300 meter events while Hadley Blasey won the discus.
The Wolfpack also won both the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays.
Delta's Hailey Williams was once again dominant, sweeping the short-distance races with wins in the 100, 200, and 400 meter events.
Brenna Marchuk also earned a win for Delta, taking the top spot in the Triple Jump.
Olivia Berg won the Long Jump for North Pole while there was a three way tie for the High Jump title.
North Pole's Breeauna O'rear, West Valley's Rachel Jones, and Lathrop's Jordyn Johnson all hit 4 feet 10 inches.
Lathrop also took the top spot in the Shot Put with Maya Pelayo, and the 4x800 meter relay, while the 4x400 meter race was won by Hutchison.
There will be another track meet at Lathrop this Friday and Saturday.
