Interior Teams compete in Tournaments in Palmer, Anchorage, Nikiski, and Delta Junction

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Tournament play began on the road for several of our interior teams.
The vast majority are competing in the Dean Cummings Sr. Invitational in Delta Junction.
The Galena Hawks girls advanced to the Semi-finals with their 49-19 win over Eagle River.
Joining them in the Semis will be the Valdez Buccaneers, who defeated the Glennallen Panthers 54-43.
The Nome-Beltz Nanooks defeated the Hutchison girls 52-32 in the opening round, they will be facing Delta Junction in the Semi-finals.
The Huskies defeated the Homer Mariners 40-24 to advance.
In the boys games, Nome defeated Hutchison 66-62 to advance to the semifinals.
They will take on Delta today, who advanced to the semis with their 66-49 win over Homer.
The other Semi-final matchup will see Valdez face Eagle River.
The Bucs defeated Glennallen 71-30 while Eagle River defeated Galena 66-48.
The Semi-finals and Consolation bracket will run through today and the Championship games are set for Saturday Night.
Monroe Catholic split their games in the opening round of the Nikiski Tip-off tournament.
The Boys team lost 45-44 to the Kenai Kardinals.
Gavin Jackson earned 17 points for the Rams.
The girls defeated Service 34-33.
Lauren Grahek nailed a technical free-throw to win the game for the Rams.
In the O'Brady's Invitational, the Lathrop Malemutes and West Valley Wolfpack were both defeated.
The Wasilla Warriors took down West Valley 67-42.
The Chugiak Mustangs also hung up 67 points on Lathrop, defeating the Malemutes 67-34.
The two Mid Alaska Conference Foes faced off in a consolation game today, we will have full details on that in tomorrow's broadcast.
And in the Palmer Elks Shootout, both North Pole Patriot teams were defeated in the opening round.
The Girls were defeated 47-28 by the Ketchikan Kings.
The Patriot Girls will play Palmer tonight as the tournament rolls on.
The Boys had an even more rough night as they were defeated 61-11 by the host Palmer Moose.
The boys will take on Service tonight in the next round of the Elks Shootout.
