FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Wasilla Road Warriors visited Fairbanks to face our Interior teams for a pair of contests.
On Friday, the Fairbanks Post 11 49ers fell to the Warriors 8-3 at Marlin Field.
William Boswood and Collin Brannan collected RBI's for the 49ers, while Travis Moore tossed three strong innings in defeat.
Saturday, the Alaska Post 30 Wild hosted Wasilla for a double-header, with the Warriors using a late game push to take a 9-4 victory in the game one.
Ethan Wolfe generated a pair of hits for the Wild while Wyatt Krammer added a couple RBI's in the loss.
The Wild pushed the Warriors to extra innings for game two, but came up short in their comeback effort.
Trailing 4-1 in the seventh, Post 30 put up three runs off of an error and a wild pitch.
Wasilla added the game winning run off an RBI single in the top of the ninth inning, securing the 5-4 win.
The Fairbanks 49ers will host the Warriors for the final game of their road trip Sunday.
