Ice Dogs representatives compete in NAHL Top Prospects tournament

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Eight members of the Fairbanks Ice Dogs represented their team in the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in Attleboro Massachusets.
Jake Borgida, Ty Proffitt, Jack Johnston, and Grant Ledford were a part of the Midwest Division, while head coach Trevor Stewart joined that Midwest Squad as an assistant coach.
Three other Ice Dogs, Dylan Abbot, Jonathan Sorenson, and Luke Mobley earned Spots on the NAHL Select Red team.
In the two day Tournament, the Midwest Division with a pair of losses, falling 6-2 to the select blue team before falling 2-1 to the South Division Squad in overtime.
Proffitt scored a goal for the Midwest Division in game one.
The Red Selects team also went 0-2.
They fell 4-0 to the South Division before falling to the Central Division 5-4 in Overtime.
Minnesota commit Johnny Sorenson finished with a goal and an assist in that final game while Dylan Abbott also earned an assist.
Those top prospects will now rejoin their team for their two game series against the Janesville Jets this Friday and Saturday in Janesville Wisconsin.
