Ice Dogs force split against Janesville

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Fairbanks Ice Dogs looked to bounce back from their shootout loss to the Janesville Jets for game two of their series.
And that they did thanks to another masterful performance from Mattias Sholl who shutout the Jets en route to a 2-0 victory.
Sholl faced 18 shots and got 18 saves while Matt Koethe and Luke Ciolli did enough offensively to put away Janesville.
Fairbanks now sit on a 27-14-3-3 record with 60 points and are 2 points behind the Minnesota Magicians.
The Ice Dogs continue their road trip with a two game series against the Springfield Jr. Blues starting on Friday.
