FAIRBANKS, Alaska - For the second consecutive week, the Midwest Division Star of the week honor belongs to the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
This time it was Luke Mobley being honored.
Mobley put on quite the performance in this past weekend's 3-game series against the Janesville Jets.
The Forward from St. Louis Park Minnesota registered at least one point in each of the three games.
In the opening game he earned an assist, and got a goal in the series finale, but Game two on Friday is when he really shined.
Mobley finished that contest with 6 points, earning a hat-trick in two different categories.
He lit the lamp three times and also distributed three assists.
Mobley and the rest of the Dogs will take on their lone in-state rivals, the Kenai River Brown Bears, in both of their final two series this season.
This weekend they head down to Soldotna, and then they will host the Brown Bears in their regular season finale a week later.
